Okay, first of all, this isn't a country album. I have no idea why they called it country and western. It's just a lot of great old songs and, for my money, one of the coolest Ray Charles albums out there. The arrangements are all old school, big band Jazz style, the stuff of 4pm cocktail hours featuring martinis. "Careless Love" is the best tune on the album, "You Don't Know Me" is heartbreaking, so is "Born To Lose". Ray Charles was such an amazing singer and you never want to forget how much he contributed to the music world so, if you don't own any, start here. My dad can't believe I like this, by the way. If you feel like blowing your parent's minds, come home with a copy of this. It'll keep them guessing.
